Mrs. Mavis

     In this class, students will explore and discover a variety of introductory topics in the areas of Physical Science, Life Science, and Earth & Space Science. Throughout the year, students will give frequent presentations, formulate research questions and write a research report using the Scientific Method and appropriate Metric System terminology.

     There will be several hands-on and/or virtual laboratory experiences, as well as chapter and unit tests. These tests will either be traditional paper-and-pencil or digitally presented using school licensed software. Students will be expected to positively participate in class discussions throughout the year and clearly explain their results from lab experiences, either actual or virtual. Additionally, students will be creating a variety of models to demonstrate their learning.
